I recently bought this sweater at Anthropologie. I only shop the sale section at this store, everything you see full price will eventually go on sale so just wait! This sweater is SO unbelievably soft. I wore it today for the first time on the second day of fall. It is so cozy, I just love it!

I was in bath and body works last weekend looking for new fall candles. This is the first time I've seen Cinnamon Nut Bread and does it smell delish! I love the candles BBW makes. They burn so evenly and leave this beautiful clear oil as they burn. I have this candle burning now (on the first day of fall!) and it is so nice. The scent is not over-powering, it just smells like I baked something tasty (and if you know me you know cooking and baking are not yet my forte-maybe someday!). Highly recommend at least SMELLING this candle the next time you cross paths with a BBW store. Yum!

The Night Strangers is a great book. I was thrown off a little when I saw the reviews on amazon.com. Many reviewers did not like the book. Chris Bohjalian has written many novels so perhaps the other reviewers were comparing this book to Bohjalian's previous books. I personally have never read a book by this author before until this one. I really liked it! I'm a sucker fora good spooker and this fit right into my collection. Chip was an airline pilot who will forever live in the past. His plane went down and killed 39 people and he was one of the three survivors. The book follows him and his wife Emily and their twin girls as they move into a new home in New Hampshire. The home has a past itself and Chip becomes more and more haunted not just by his plane crash but by the previous owners and the history of his house. This book includes mystery, witchcraft, and ghosts. I really liked it! This was my second audio book :). Want to see other reviews? Click Here. Just remember: this is a case where I disagree with the reviews! Read it for yourself!

This book begins with Veronica Swan detailing how she plans to kill the man who murdered her twin baby sisters. The book then continues with her account of life as her Mormon family used to be before the deaths of her sisters. We get to know the girls as well as Veronica's parents very well. The story leads to the murderer: Scott Early and how he came to be mentally ill. Veronica's parents blow her away when they unexpectedly forgive Scott Early of his random viscous act. He had no connection to the girls at all, just murdered them in their family's barn. Scott continues to lead a normal life on medication that keeps him stable. When Veronica finds out that Scott has a wife and a baby in California, she moves there to understand how her parents could possibly forgive him. Veronica changes her identity and even becomes the Early's babysitter! I won't give away the ending, this book was really good.

Mom and I went shopping yesterday and I was being very, very good. We even went to a book store, and I didn't buy anything. I know! Shocking! I am on an audiobook kick since my commute to work has increased by a good 45 minutes so I've been taking those out of the library ;). ANYWAY we decided to end our shopping trip with a quick tour of the consignment shops we love to visit. A HUGE sale was going on at a local designer consignment shop and I could not believe my eyes. Tan Tory Burch flats were staring me in the face. WOW I thought, who would give these up? They look brand new! Then I saw the price, $61.00 (these retail for about $200). THEN I saw the size, MINE! I was good all day and these shoes were totally my reward. They said "Jenny" all over them. They're mine!!!

This is a "paint pot" made by MAC in the color "painterly". I love using this on my eyelids before applying eyeshadow or liner. It cancels out any red or purple tone to eyelids. It is very neutral and goes on smoothly. It even helps eyeshadow stick to the eyelids, makes a great base for that. I have had this little jar for almost a year and I use it every day. It lasts a long time! I think of it as another concealer that lasts much longer.

This thing looks so weird, I know. It's called a "beauty blender" which sounds even weirder but it's pretty cool. I picked this up at Ulta for $5. You can use this makeup sponge to apply your foundation. The neat thing about it is that there is a cool trick. First I dot my foundation around my face, then I wet this sponge and ring it out. Then I use the sponge to gently dab at my foundation as I blend it over my skin. Because the sponge is damp, it keeps your skin moisturized as you blend and cover. It makes applying foundation easier as it covers more quickly than a dry sponge would. I also like to use this with my concealer, it's nice to just press gently to distribute products.
