I recently bought this sweater at Anthropologie. I only shop the sale section at this store, everything you see full price will eventually go on sale so just wait! This sweater is SO unbelievably soft. I wore it today for the first time on the second day of fall. It is so cozy, I just love it!

I was in bath and body works last weekend looking for new fall candles. This is the first time I've seen Cinnamon Nut Bread and does it smell delish! I love the candles BBW makes. They burn so evenly and leave this beautiful clear oil as they burn. I have this candle burning now (on the first day of fall!) and it is so nice. The scent is not over-powering, it just smells like I baked something tasty (and if you know me you know cooking and baking are not yet my forte-maybe someday!). Highly recommend at least SMELLING this candle the next time you cross paths with a BBW store. Yum!

The Night Strangers is a great book. I was thrown off a little when I saw the reviews on amazon.com. Many reviewers did not like the book. Chris Bohjalian has written many novels so perhaps the other reviewers were comparing this book to Bohjalian's previous books. I personally have never read a book by this author before until this one. I really liked it! I'm a sucker fora good spooker and this fit right into my collection. Chip was an airline pilot who will forever live in the past. His plane went down and killed 39 people and he was one of the three survivors. The book follows him and his wife Emily and their twin girls as they move into a new home in New Hampshire. The home has a past itself and Chip becomes more and more haunted not just by his plane crash but by the previous owners and the history of his house. This book includes mystery, witchcraft, and ghosts. I really liked it! This was my second audio book :). Want to see other reviews? Click Here. Just remember: this is a case where I disagree with the reviews! Read it for yourself!

This book begins with Veronica Swan detailing how she plans to kill the man who murdered her twin baby sisters. The book then continues with her account of life as her Mormon family used to be before the deaths of her sisters. We get to know the girls as well as Veronica's parents very well. The story leads to the murderer: Scott Early and how he came to be mentally ill. Veronica's parents blow her away when they unexpectedly forgive Scott Early of his random viscous act. He had no connection to the girls at all, just murdered them in their family's barn. Scott continues to lead a normal life on medication that keeps him stable. When Veronica finds out that Scott has a wife and a baby in California, she moves there to understand how her parents could possibly forgive him. Veronica changes her identity and even becomes the Early's babysitter! I won't give away the ending, this book was really good.

Mom and I went shopping yesterday and I was being very, very good. We even went to a book store, and I didn't buy anything. I know! Shocking! I am on an audiobook kick since my commute to work has increased by a good 45 minutes so I've been taking those out of the library ;). ANYWAY we decided to end our shopping trip with a quick tour of the consignment shops we love to visit. A HUGE sale was going on at a local designer consignment shop and I could not believe my eyes. Tan Tory Burch flats were staring me in the face. WOW I thought, who would give these up? They look brand new! Then I saw the price, $61.00 (these retail for about $200). THEN I saw the size, MINE! I was good all day and these shoes were totally my reward. They said "Jenny" all over them. They're mine!!!

This is a "paint pot" made by MAC in the color "painterly". I love using this on my eyelids before applying eyeshadow or liner. It cancels out any red or purple tone to eyelids. It is very neutral and goes on smoothly. It even helps eyeshadow stick to the eyelids, makes a great base for that. I have had this little jar for almost a year and I use it every day. It lasts a long time! I think of it as another concealer that lasts much longer.

This thing looks so weird, I know. It's called a "beauty blender" which sounds even weirder but it's pretty cool. I picked this up at Ulta for $5. You can use this makeup sponge to apply your foundation. The neat thing about it is that there is a cool trick. First I dot my foundation around my face, then I wet this sponge and ring it out. Then I use the sponge to gently dab at my foundation as I blend it over my skin. Because the sponge is damp, it keeps your skin moisturized as you blend and cover. It makes applying foundation easier as it covers more quickly than a dry sponge would. I also like to use this with my concealer, it's nice to just press gently to distribute products.

This is the concealer I have been using: Glamoflauge by Hard Candy. I use very very little in three spots: on the sides of my nose (most of us have redness there) underneath my eyes and over any blemishes. I put little pin sized dots in these three places and blend them in with my finger. I put on concealer after I apply foundation. The reason I do this is because applying concealer before causes it to disappear as you blend your foundation. Wait for your foundation to set, then apply this for extra coverage in spots that have redness.

For foundation, I have been using Estee Lauder's Double Wear Light foundation. I use the color: intensity 2.0. I love it for summer time! In the winter, I like to use powder foundation by bare essentials. In the summer, I like to wear creamy foundation that is easy to apply. This foundation matches my skin perfectly, no orange tint! I apply a nickel size amount to my finger tips, rub them together and apply it to my cheeks, nose, forehead and chin. I then take my makeup sponge and make sure the foundation is applied evenly over my face. I also make sure to apply it along my jaw line so it blends in well. :) Highly recommend this foundation.

This is another product I heard so much about from YouTube reviewers. I have a really hard time curling my hair, the curl doesn't last long at all. This heat protectant from Tresemme is supposed to shield your hair from heat damage like curling/straightening irons and hair dryers. While struggling to get my hair to curl so much, I knew I was damaging my hair. You know the feeling, your hair is super dry and dehydrated looking. So I picked this up and have been using it before blow drying my hair. It works well! My hair looks better and feels better. I'll keep using it :)

This conditioner by Macadamia is simply amazing. Worth every penny. It smells delicious and is so moisturizing that the bottle says to use it only one or two times a week. I use this conditioner once a week after using my BIG shampoo from Lush. This conditioner immediately hydrates and detangles my hair. I only apply it to the ends of my hair so the roots don't get greasy (I do that with all conditioners). The bottle is so cute, in the shape of a coconut! BUT it is not as convenient as the tube version. It takes times to unscrew the cap and hold the coconut while grabbing some product (multitasking is not my forte). I am almost done with my heavenly coconut and I purchased the tube for my next go-round. The price is better too (relatively). Want something less expensive but with similar benefits? Try Organix Hydrating Macadamia Intensive Mask ($7.99). Click here to view it!

I know this isn't the most fascinating post but I figured to follow my detangling combo of shampoo and conditioner I should give another detangling tip! Wide tooth combs work best to detangle wet hair right out of the shower. For a while I was using a narrow comb and it took me forever to get the snarls out, usually resulting in snapping noises :( poor hair! I recently went for a wide tooth comb (any one you want) and there really is a difference. No more snapping hair. Warning: If you use a brush on wet hair, your hair will surely stretch and snap!! What would you do without me? :p

I watch a lot of beauty gurus on YouTube, they review products, share their favorites, and make great suggestions. I recently saw one YouTuber do a review for Clear Shampoo & Conditioner. This is a new brand that claims: "The essential source of hair''s natural nourishment is the scalp. With Nutrium 10, Clear Scalp & Hair Therapy is specially formulated to nourish the scalp deeply, creating the right foundation for strong, beautiful hair". The reason I wanted to give these products a try was this: the YouTube reviewer claimed it detangled the most difficult hair! As my hair continues to grow, it is driving me crazy when it comes to combing through it after showering. I thought the added benefit of being great for the scalp was worth it too. So I gave the shampoo and conditioner a try, and I absolutely love it. My hair is so easy to comb through, I can't believe it! The smell is heavenly too. If you have naughty hair like me, try this out, you won't be sorry! Sells for about $5!

Moisturizers! (Highly requested by the one person I actually know reads my blog!). Okay, so in the AM after I wash my face & use my biore toner, I have been using Neutrogena's Visibly Even moisturizer. When I first started using this moisturizer, I found it to be greasy (not a quality I like in a moisturizer!). I would use blotting papers after I applied it to remove the excess grease, that's pretty bad. However, I realized that I was in a rush: applying moisturizer right before I was ready to do makeup. I didn't give the moisturizer time to set in. Now I give it some time to soak in and it works just fine. It has SPF which I like. Would I repurchase this? Probably not. I'll use it up but I will look for a new moisturizer once I finish this tube. I really like my PM routine: I use a moisturizer made by Simple (no dyes, fragrance or bad ingredients) as well as two drops of Josie Maran's Argan Oil. I am obsessed with Moroccan oil and argan oil. If you look up the details on these ingredients, the benefits are endless. You can use it on your skin and hair too (at the ends to bring moisture)! After I remove my makeup, wash my face and use toner, I put a pea sized amount of simple moisturizer in my hands. Then I add two little drops of argan oil, rub my hands together and apply it to my face. Why use two different moisturizers for AM and PM? I want SPF in the morning to protect my skin from the sun. I don't need SPF when I'm sleeping! I need moisture, moisture, moisture! Did you know that while you sleep your skin heals itself? Provide it with nutrients it needs! Prices: Neutrogena Visibly Even ($12), Simple Moisturizer ($11), Josie Maran's Argan Oil ($14-$48 depending on size)<--Lasts FOREVER.

Before I got married, I tried putting on acrylic nails at the nail salon. I was biting my nails so badly and I wanted to stop before the wedding. It turns out my nails reject acrylics, they had to be taken completely off and put back on each time I went (ouch!) So, I took them off for good. My nails are very weak right now as they continue to grow out. Today I painted my nails and toes in this great color combination, I thought I would share it with you! On my hands: Essie's "Neo Whimsical" (far right in the picture). I like having light colors on my hands so when they chip it isn't as noticeable. It also gives a nice clean look. I love this pastel purple! As for my toes? I did a pattern of Essie's "Play Date" (middle polish picture,a perfect purple in my opinion), and Wet N' Wild's "On a Trip" (left polish). I put "On a Trip" on two of my toe-toes, the pinky and the third toe. My other toes were done with "Play Date". I like it! Thought I'd pass the color combo on! :)

I have been using this astringent from Biore for a while now. The bottle used to be green and I couldn't find it to repurchase! Then I realized they changed the look of the bottle. Astringent is used after you cleanse your face. I take a cotton round and soak it with a little of this Biore solution. I swipe it onto my face to get rid of any extra face wash that may have lingered. Astringent shrinks the size of your pores and gets your skin prepared for moisturizer. It sounds so silly but it really makes your skin feel clean and clear. I love it!

Revlon Lip Butters are great. They give a very light wash of color to your lips and feel like chapstick, providing a lot of moisture. These lip products are a great option if you are looking for daring colors but that go on lightly and are less intense. For example, I would love to have a bright red lipstick but I know it would look harsh against my skin tone. If I bought a lip butter in red, I would have a lighter version of the daring color. Check one out! Revlon Lip Butters

I use eye liner only on my top lashes to darken my lash line and make my eyes appear nice and big (as if they aren't already!). This liner is from NYX and I have had it for so long! I love it and the fact that it is retractable. It goes on nice and easily so I don't have to hassle with it. Once I apply my liner to my top lashes, I like to smudge it out with an eyeliner brush, that makes the liner look more perfected and less sketchy-if that makes any sense. If you have an ULTA around you they sell NYX products. If not, visit their site! I have a bunch of things from this company and they make great products for little money. Aaah, my perfect match <3. NYX.

This is the lotion I have been using lately and it is sold in a bunch of nail and hair salons. I happened to find my bottle at Marshall's for way less (score one for me!). This body lotion smells amazing, like candy. I know what you're thinking "I don't want to smell likely sickly sweet candy all day". Well friends, you won't! The scent is very light and fades quickly so it won't clash with your fabulous perfume that you love. It moisturizes and feels great! I am almost out of my bottle and have other lotions to finish up but once those are gone, totally re-purchasing this! Check it out --> Hempz.

I use this Citrus Face Scrub probably once or twice a week. It smells so good, I love citrus scents. It is really grainy that's why I don't use it too often, I don't want to over-dry my skin. It washes off clean and makes my skin feel so smooth! The texture is almost like brown sugar, kind of cool! I recommend this if you're looking for an exfoliating scrub for your skincare routine. This lip butter by Korres is awesome! I keep it by my bedside table and each night while I'm reading my book I remember to put it on before sleeps. I have another lip butter by Korres but I don't use it as much because it has color to it. This one is clear so I can just layer it on before bed. I wake up with nice soft lips as opposed to dry chapped lips-who wants that right? Smells delish too! Click here to check out reviews and other flavors/colors: Korres Lip Butter.

I have had this body splash since last summer when I bought it at L'Occitane. I bought the shampoo and conditioner in this scent at the time too (which I loved and used all up, I should really re-purchase those again!). There was some kind of deal going on (as always I'm a sucker for those) so I bought an entire set of this sent. Citrus Verbena smells amazing for summer. It is a light mix of lemon and grapefruit. I found out recently that most of my perfumes contain grapefruit, who knew? Must be my favorite fragrance. Anyway, I find myself going for this scent in the summer time after a nice cold shower. If fragrances could talk-which they don't, in case you weren't sure-this one would scream "Summer!!" Click here to view info and reviews on this product and check out the shampoo and conditioner too! Pricey, but put it on your "I'm totally worth it" list :) Citrus Verbena.

I am a professional shower gel consumer. I love trying new shower gels and never stick to re-purchasing the same product. Until now! Clean and Clear came out with these three body washes (I have tried them all). Let me tell you, they are so refreshing after a workout at the gym. The scents are heavenly and *bonus* they keep your skin clear! They suds up really well and make you feel totally clean and refreshed. I started with the orange bottle, moved on to blue, and now I'm on the pink! Every scent is awesome but my favorite is the orange for sure. Okay, I've gone through one tube of this stuff already and bought two more as backups. This is the Super Rich Shower Cream from Bath & Body Works ($15 but they usually have a deal like buy 2 get 1 free, and trust me a little goes a long way; lasts forever!) and while it is meant to be a shower "gel" type of product, I use it for shaving. Because it has Shea butter, it is super moisturizing! I only use a nickel sized amount so the tube lasts a long time. I also love the product "Shave the Day" from Bath & Body works ($12) but I feel that I use that up too quickly, it has a much smaller amount of product than this shower cream. Check it out (smell it too, the scent grew on me) and be sure to get it when there's a deal!

I just finished this book last night. It is a quick, fun summer read! Grace is a strongly feminist woman who is conducting her dissertation about beauty and how it only leads to misery. Her Great Aunt Sophia is undergoing hip replacement surgery and asks that Grace watch over her for the summer as she recuperates. Great Aunt Sophia was a B list actress in her youth and Grace figures this will be a great opportunity to research her theory on beauty. Sophia sees it as an opportunity to mold Grace into a bombshell. Grace is reluctant but finds that Sophia's lessons about beauty and men might be worth the $20,000 Sophia offers if she follows through for the summer. Grace puts her lessons to the test on the stoic Dr. Andrew and also finds herself battling her heart and head with Declan, her polar opposite and everything she should despise in a man. While her head says to go for Dr. Andrew, her heart finds herself craving the adventure she finds with Declan. How will it turn out? Who does she choose? What happens to her theory? Read it to find out!

I actually use the CVS version of this face wash (same exact ingredients for less money!) but I have to tell you how gentle this facial cleanser is; gentle but effective. This cleanser washes off all of my makeup (even eye makeup!) in one cleansing without irritating my eyes or skin. It's that good! Highly recommend for any skin type, even sensitive skin!

This primer from Hard Candy is great. I have been using it for several months now. After I cleanse and moisturize my face, I put a small amount (pea size) onto my face. It glides on so smoothly and gives a great surface to work with when I apply makeup. Hard Candy is a great brand (I find it at Walmart) and I am really enjoying their products. Check it out!

Last week I took a walk into Lush (fresh handmade cosmetics). My goal was to re-purchase my BIG shampoo that has ocean sea salt. If you have a Lush near you, go in and ask for a sample, you'll love it. BIG scrubs your scalp so well, I use it once a week to get rid of any other residue from shampoos. While I was there the sales-woman was very sweet and was making me some samples to take home to try. She gave me a sample of "Rub Rub Rub" a sea salt and mimosa shower wash (as it describes). Sea salt and Mimosa? Sign me up! This scrub smells heavenly, just like the ocean (in a good way, not in a marshy way). I absolutely love it and I am almost done with my two samples. I am definitely going to purchase the full size. Highly recommend! To learn more about this product and Lush, click the link below and read reviews. Rub Rub Rub & Lush
